Source Extract Engine (SEE)
IPC Global developed the Source Extract Engine, itself a QlikView document, to facilitate the extract process. The SEE is driven by an XML file that defines the tables and fields to be extracted. The extracted data is stored to disk in a highly compressed format using QlikView Data (QVD) files.

IPC Global has worked with a number of Protean ERP customers to deliver enterprise-wide business analytical and reporting solutions using QlikView. The following are examples of the type of applications that can be delivered:
Management Dashboards Key measures presented to management that allow them to ask the right questions about the business performance.
Sales and Contribution
Sales and contribution data at customer and product level for any time dimension, including the presentation of management KPI’s as defined by the business. Performance comparison and trending over years/months/weeks can also inclue budget and forecast figures.
Supply Chain
Purchasing data at supplier and product level for any time dimension, including the presentation of management KPI’s as defined by the business. Detailed analysis into supply chain metrics such as OTIF, supplier performance, third party delivery performance.
Financial
Income statements, balance sheets, trial balance analysis and operational reporting such as account reconciliation and management of debtors and creditors can all be performed using QlikView plus any number of financial KPI’s important to the business. A consolidated view of multi-site and multi-company data is easily achieved.
Production and Inventory
Production and inventory data relating to snapshot in time statistics, lot tracking as well as production efficiencies at schedule level.
